Gloucester County Sued After Lawyer Dies at Courthouse

The widow of a 42-year-old lawyer who went into cardiac arrest and died at the Gloucester County courthouse is suing the county, alleging negligence by first responders was the cause of death.

Sprague Firm Received $1.8 Mil. in Courthouse Case

As the new Philadelphia family courthouse moves closer to completion, bills from the First Judicial District show that the Sprague & Sprague law firm was paid $1.8 million for its work prosecuting the Philadelphia court system's legal malpractice lawsuit against Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel and former Obermayer Rebmann partner Jeffrey Rotwitt.

Courthouse Renamed for Justice Kidd Stout

Philadelphia City Council voted Thursday to rename the city?s criminal courthouse after former state Supreme Court Justice Juanita Kidd Stout, who was the first African-American woman to sit on a state Supreme Court in the country.
