Markell Pushes for Public-Benefit Corporations in Delaware

Delaware Governor Jack Markell has proposed an amendment that would modify Delaware General Corporation Law to permit the creation of public-benefit corporations. Despite opposition from some members of the Delaware State Bar Association's Corporate Law Section, Markell said he is confident that his legislation will be approved by the state's General Assembly.
